The MadMac group recently got a write up the Madison newspaper in an article about networking. The article started out with a relative new group that specializes in Flickr users. It finished up with a few with a couple of mention of groups at the University,
the Geek.Kon convention last fall, the Geek.Kon programs on the video games Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution. But in the middle, the MadMUG is mentioned.

There have been 40-45 MacWorld Expos held in the United States. I have attended 3 Apple Fests prior the the Mac being introduced and nearly one half of the Expos. So, I got to thinking back to what I would have done differently and what would make it a better experience.

Last week, our Mac user group had a great meeting with a PC user doing the presenting. Well, actually, his wife is slowing making him a switcher, but he has to use a PC for work where he supports high end printers.

The subject was Open Software. He gave us a brief history of the open source software concept. He also discussed Apple's use and support of OpenSource software including an Apple.com page that listed these activities. ...
