On Friday, Mariner Software, developers and publishers of professional and personal software announced the release of Mariner Calc for the iPad. Introduced in 1991 for the Mac and in 2009 for the iPhone and iPod Touch, Mariner Calc for iPad brings one more level of mobile productivity to the small business, enterprise or home user who needs access to Excel files.
(Note, also on Friday Microsoft announced that they had no plans for Office for the iPad.)

Recently on the UGAB mailing list we were asked about support for iWork. The first response that I saw was actually one of the last. Nicholas Pyers, Founder & Publisher of AppleUsers.org said: “I don’t know how active they are now, but there is still the iWork Users Group (iWUG) that was started by the AppleWorks Users Group. Its URL is: http://www.awug.org/.”
How long have you used Stuffit? It started as freeware, then evolved into the shareware millions of Mac users confidently used for years. Then it was ported to Windows for cross-platform compression. I have long been a fan of DataViz and their translators for various file formats. I used MacLink and hMacLinkPlus from version 1.0 until I switched to MacOS X.
