As you know, Apple introduced AirPrint with iOS 4.2.1 last month. Now printing is much easier than ever. However, only 11 or 12 current printers are compatible with AirPrint per Apple. While HP has announced that they will soon have another 10 printers that are compatible, it doesn’t help those of us who don’t really want to buy a new printer. Printopia adds a virtual printer, allowing you to save print-outs to your Mac as PDF files sends them to Dropbox or to a printer connected to the Macintosh.

Apple has always had a great acceptance in schools. AppleWorks on the Apple II and later Hypercard and AppleWorks for the Mac. Of course, AppleWorks has now been supplanted by iWork. So of course, iWork needs templates for schools.

Boinx Software announced this week the release of Mousepose 3.1, the essential mouse pointer highlighting tool for everyone doing presentations, screencasts or demos. When activated, it dims the screen and shines a spotlight on the area around the mouse pointer, easily guiding the audiance’s attention to an area of interest.
