Web of Trust (WOT), the website reputation rating service, and Facebook began collaboration to give Facebook’s over 500 million users reliable protection against dubious web links. When a Facebook user clicks a link that leads to a page with a poor reputation rating given by the WOT community, Facebook shows a warning message. WOT’s global community has reported five million sites for phishing, untrustworthy content, fraudulent services or various scams.

Amunsol, the developers of Tracker for Facebook Pro, has released their latest update for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. This is a new application lets users see a map and a list view of their Facebook friends’ locations in real-time and via Facebook Places Check-Ins. Users are able to also send messages with smileys, hide their location and tracking history and more. Tracker for Facebook also offers the unique capability of being able to view friends in a camera augmented reality.

The original web site that gave you random new sites was one called “Roulette.com.” Of course, today that is a gaming industry site. StumbleUpon did it one better with Firefox plug-in that let people recommend specific sites by category and thus narrows down the area of search.
