Wow!! Imagine a new version of Lotus Symphony for the Mac. I remember when Lotus announced Modern Jazz for the Mac, but never delivered after Microsoft Excel took off so well. Modern Jazz for the Mac and Symphony for the PC had one big limitation that kept it from selling. No Macros.

As a Mac user, I have long been familiar with disk images. I really didn't know that the Windows world had them. Although I really don't think they work completely the same as they do on the Mac.

I just came across this web site that aims to keep the cost of software for students to an economic level. The list here is a little dated as it was put out in September 2007, but it seems to have a lot of good software and you can update with current versions using VersionTracker for either platform and/or MacUpdate for Macs.

Yes, Supercard, the Hypercard clone is still available and working in Mac OS X as well as in Windows. Solutions Etcetera is the current owner. I remember using it 1989 when it was first to add color and it was almost as easy to use as Hypercard.
