Every couple of days, my Finder search goes dead. I have no idea why, but I think it has something to do with iMovie. So I search for a file name I know exists on the drive, and the Finder can't find it. I drag it out on the desktop, so now I'm looking at it -- repeat the search, and Finder still cannot find it! I wish I could figure out how to fix it. As you know, Mac OS X 10.5, Leopard comes with a feature called Quicklook which allows the user to see what is in a file without actually opening it in an application. The system comes with some useful plugins that allow you to see PDF, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and iWork files. I have already added one that allows me to see inside Stuffit archives.
