Apple patents iPhone camera blocker

This is an interesting move on Apple’s part! Let’s see how fast the industry comes up with a way to override it . . .
Apple has created a new technology blocking your ability to take photos or videos at concerts. The company has been granted a patent for a smartphone camera that receives coded infra-red signals beamed in public places. The signals would temporarily disable your phone and prevent you from recording the concert. The technology could also be used to prevent video recordings in movie theaters.

Petty crime just ain’t what it used to be

Once you could just snatch it and run and everything was okay. . . not today!
For Craigslist sellers, meeting at a neutral location is usually a good idea. However, the sale of a iPhone went horribly wrong — During the sale of his gold Apple iPhone, the buyer grabbed the phone and sprayed the seller with pepper spray and ran. A bystander got the license and the crook was arrested.

How to Stop Your iPhone from Tracking Your Frequent Locations

you may not know that, by default, iOS keeps track of locations you visit frequently so that it can make better local suggestions and give you a more personalized Today view in your Notification Center. The trouble is that anyone with access to your phone can easily see your frequent locations, along with the exact dates and times you were there
If you’d rather iOS not track your frequent locations, it’s easy enough to turn off if you know where to look.

A roundup of original iPhone reviews that got everything completely wrong

When the iPhone burst onto the scene in 2007, it was evident that the world of mobile technology would never be the same. While the original iPhone admittedly had its fair share of shortcomings (it lacked 3G, MMS support, copy and paste etc.), its multitouch display and full web browser were immediate game-changers.
Rather predictably, an onslaught of short-sighted and pessimistic reviews tended to hone in on all of the features the iPhone lacked rather than looking at all of the revolutionary new features it introduced into the mainstream. Some reviews, believe it or not, even criticized the iPhone for boasting too many features.

How To Get A New Apple Watch Face In watchOS 3

Thanks to the new watchOS 3, the Apple Watch is not only more elegant than it has ever been but also about seven times faster than it was before.

Bob LeVitus : How not to lose your Apple Pencil

Bob LeVitus writes :
I love using the Apple Pencil with my iPad Pro, but I seem to misplace it all the time and the thought of replacing it ($99) causes my heart to skip a beat. You’d think Apple, with its legendary attention to detail, would include a place to stash the Apple Pencil in the iPad Pro Smart Keyboard, Smart Case and Smart Cover.
But you’d be wrong.
