iPad Storytelling App for Kids with Autism

Stories About Me - iPad Storytelling App for Kids With Autism Released MADE IN AMERICALimited Cue LLC, an independent mobile application developer, has just rocketed their second application to the Apple App Store worldwide. Stories About Me is an Apple iPad application designed specifically for kids with autism, kids with special needs and disabilities, and early learners in general. The application helps the users to create situational stories about themselves, and to share what they think and feel with others.

Founded in 2012, Limited Cue dedicates themselves to designing and building mobile applications for users with severe to moderate disabilities along with their families and educators. The company was established to fill a market void for specific education tools, games and aids in the form of affordable mobile applications. They carry the mission to provide useful applications with exceptional entertainment and educational value to enable users learning, playing, practicing and having fun at the same time.

“At Limited Cue, we believe that storytelling is one of the best methods to communicate our thoughts and ideas with others. Not only for kids with autism, kids with special needs and disabilities, but also for early learners in general.” Wade Koning, the founder of Limited Cue LLC explained.

“Each person has a unique story and through others’ stories, we can learn, be inspired and motivated. On the other hand telling a story can open the gate for others to understand us better and improve our way of communication. Telling a story stimulates the thinking process, strengthens memory recall skill, and sharpens the capability for children illustrating their ideas into words. With all of the fore mentioned benefits, we were triggered to develop Stories About Me and specifically design the application for children with autism and disabilities. Early learners in generals can actually use this application to improve their communication and fast thinking skills too.” Wade added.

Stories About Me allows parents, teachers and the app users to create their own social situational stories. The app combines magnificent graphics, text and voice altogether, reaching early learner’s insights through visual and verbal approach.

With this app, users will be able to play back their parent and teacher’s, and even their own-recorded voice and see recognizable images on story pages. Limited Cue believes that having this personal based story telling application can bring children with autism and special needs more convenience rather than pre-developing scenes by involving strangers.
