Signaling that Moore’s Law may not yet be over after all, IBM researchers have been able to store 1 Bit of data using only 12 atoms. Current technology uses 1 million atoms to store the info.
Scientists from IBM Research have been investigating and controlling matter on an atomic scale for decades. So this advance should not be a surprise.
