iCloud

We all know that Apple’s iCloud is coming soon. But have you stopped to see all that it contains? Apple has a description of it on their web site.

While you can get all this from the horse’s mouth, I would like to summarize for you.

First of all, iCloud stores our content and wirelessly pushes it to all our devices. Note that during the June keynote, Steve Jobs said that Macs and PCs were just devices.

At least part of what is available via iCloud is music, apps, latest photos, email, contacts and calendars keeping all the devices up to date without doing a physical connection to sync.

By default, iCloud provides 5 GB of storage to each user. The good news is that music, apps, books and TV Shows as well as the Photo Stream material don’t fount against that 5 GB. So effectively you can store much more. However, you can purchase more space starting at 10 GB for $20 per year. Up to 100 GB for $50.

Also, all of your iOS devices can be backed up to iCloud.
