Apple iPad 2 Coming in April?

Wasn’t the iPad just released? And a new one is on the horizon? Will the new one wipe out all the tablets running Android? Was this upgrade planned all along to blow off the competition or to ruin sales?
The unconfirmed rumors of a new iPad coming in April, if they boil up to an extreme level, could ruin the Christmas sales of the current version of the iPad. People will think, “Hey, I was going to buy one, but why bother when a newer, better iPad is coming out in April? Apple always brings out newer and better versions, right? I’ll just wait.”

Apple iPad 2 To Feature Carbon Fiber Chassis?

Apple may be mulling to replace aluminium by carbon fiber as main material for the chassis of its next iPad 2 tablet according to a patent that has been discovered last week.
Under the title “Reinforced Device Housing”, the patent shows that Apple may want to introduce a lighter enclosure for the iPad (or at least a device that looks terribly like one) made of CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic).

Apple iPad 2 expected to have 2 Cameras and USB Port

Rumors continue to swirl over Apple’s next generation iPad, and one reliable Taiwanese newspaper says the new device will be out in the first quarter of 2011, complete with video calling, two cameras, new display and touch technology, and a USB port to connect easily to other devices.
First off, the original source of this juicy piece of Steve Jobs and Co. gossip comes from the Chinese-language Economic Daily News financial newspaper. As Dan Nystedt of PC World notes, that is the same publication that was first to report that Apple was going to release a tablet device, while other news sources remained convinced the product was going to be a netbook. The fact that the paper is based in Taiwan is also encouraging given that country’s heavy involvement in consumer electronics manufacturing space.

Apple iPad 4.2 and 4.2.1 Mute Sound Problem

Many people were asking us via e-Mail and by our Good e-Reader Forum about the latest Apple iPad 4.2 and 4.2.1 iOs updates would request in them losing sounds on their device. Some people reported issues arising from lost sounds on the keyboard, or other menus, including some games.
The solution for this, is Apple changed the way Orientation locks via their built in accelerometer. Before you installed this update, there was a button above the volume control on your iPad that would lock your orientation, either in portrait mode or landscape. The button has been changed to mute your device or to unmute it. So if you had locked your device in one of the two modes before you installed this update, after the update your iPad would have muted all the sounds. The solution for this is obviously to unmute your iPad.

Apple’s iOS 4.2 a ‘milestone’ update for iPad, iPhone

Nearly five months after Apple rolled out iOS 4 in tandem with the iPhone 4 launch, it has released the latest update for the software that powers its touch-screen lineup: iOS 4.2.1 (along with version 4.1 for the latest-generation Apple TV). The free update is a major milestone for Apple: It finally unifies the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch so that all are running the same operating system with the same major feature set. The update also adds several key new features.
The iPad stands to gain the most improvements — it’s been running the older iOS 3.2.2, which lacks features already available on the iPhone — but all of Apple’s iOS devices that can run the updated software will benefit. However, not all models will be able to use every new feature. iOS 4.2 is compatible with the iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4, as well as the iPad and every generation of the iPod Touch except the first one. Certain features, such as AirPrint, will work only on newer devices.
