In it, Kit says that the new way to make money with Apps, is to allow purchasing from within the app.
Flurry has presented analytics that say the in-app purchasing is very high right now and dwarfing the advertising income, at least on iOS.
Flurry analytics say that at the end of 2009 the greater majority of cash rolling in to developers from their carefully crafted apps came from advertising. But things changed in 2010 with a doubling of revenue from apps with more than 80% of that increase coming from inside app purchases.
