iPhone 4 Reception Woes: Dos and Don’ts

Apple may have sold more than 1.7 million iPhone 4 handsets, but the company is under scrutiny over the iPhone 4′s reception issues.
Soon after the iPhone 4 debuted on June 24, customers started reporting cellular signal loss when their palm covered the lower left corner of the device. Apple eventually admitted that there was an issue, but said the reception loss was normal for mobile devices. The company suggested that you should either change your grip or just buy a case that keeps your greasy palm off the device.

Apple updates MobileMe Gallery for iPhone 4

Apple seems to be making slow but steady updates to its collection of App Store apps that are not pre-packaged on its mobile devices. On Wednesday, MobileMe Gallery got the update treatment for iPhone 4– and the iPhone 4 alone.
… allows you to download higher resolution photos (if your friends enable that feature for their galleries) when you’re on a Wi-Fi connection. A handful of bugs were also exorcised in this new version.

Apple iWork Coming to the iPhone? Not So Fast

A series of leaked screenshots depict what appears to be a version of Apple’s iWork productivity suite for the iPhone.
The 9 to 5 Mac blog received a dozen screenshots of the alleged Pages app for iPhone and iPod touch devices from an unnamed source, but there are several clues they could be fake.

Trouble Ahead for Apple’s iPhone 4?

Apple fans may be snapping up the latest iPhone in record numbers, but that doesn’t mean they’re all satisfied customers once they bring their new toys home.
the otherwise impressive launch has been marred by complaints from customers that holding the phone in a certain way blocks the external antenna, leading to dropped calls and reception issues.

5 ways iPhone users get ripped off

Using an iPhone is like taking a holiday to some corrupt country: It may be beautiful and offer simple pleasures, but you’re going to pay bribes to people who shamelessly charge you for what’s free elsewhere.
Because of that popularity, perhaps, some companies feel it’s acceptable to reach into your wallet, take your money and provide absolutely nothing in return.

Wait For Verizon iPhone 4 Or Get Motorola Droid X?

Yes, that is a tough one to answer. Now that the possibility of Verizon iPhone 4 releasing in early 2011 seems really high, what should all those who wanted a Verizon iPhone for long but got tired of waiting and decided to go for Motorola Droid X coming July 15, now do?
The irony is, iPhone on Verizon rumor is supposed to be good for Verizon but this time it is likely to harm Verizon itself as Motorola Droid X is also being carried by Verizon.

Steve Jobs Email on iPhone 4 Labeled as Fake

The technology world took a bizarre new twist Friday when Apple officials denied that an email purportedly sent by chief executive Steve Jobs on the subject of the iPhone 4′s antenna problems was authentic.
That email, touted by the Web site Boy Genius Report as an exclusive, claimed that, once again, Jobs responded to an email sent by a customer, this time complaining of the iPhone 4′s antenna and signal reception.

Worker in trouble for snarky iPhone-Evo video

When Brian Maupin made two snarky online videos poking fun at zealots of the iPhone and the Evo phone, he thought it was just a good way to vent some of the frustrations inherent in selling smart phones.
His employer, Best Buy, thought otherwise, even though the retailer, which sells both phones, isn’t mentioned in either video. Friday Maupin was suspended from his part-time job after posting two YouTube videos that slam fans of Apple Inc.’s iPhone 4 and HTC Corp.’s Evo 4G.
