iPad passes Google Android in total browser usage share

In just three months on the market, Apple’s iPad has come to represent 0.17 percent of all Web browser traffic tracked by Net Applications. The iPad’s June total managed to exceed Android, which represented 0.14 percent of all Web browsing traffic.
      Behind both of them was another iOS-powered device from Apple, the iPod touch. In June, the iPod touch took 0.12 percent of the Web browser share, according to Net Applications.

Surprise! HP Reveals Plans for WebOS Tablet

HP has officially completed the acquisition of Palm, making it the proud owner of Palm’s coveted intellectual property including WebOS.
      Following a grandiose unveiling of the Windows 7-based Slate by Microsoft and HP at CES earlier this year, HP continued to hype the advantages of the tablet over the impending Apple iPad.

Cisco Tablet ‘Cius’: Not an iPad Killer

Degas-Vu: Artist creates amazing portraits with iPad

They combine the bright vivid colours of photography with the stylish flourishes of an accomplished painter. But at closer inspection theses remarkable images are fact finger paintings drawn directly onto the screen of Apple’s iPad.
      Like a modern Etch-a-Sketch, the paintings are the creation of prominent New York artist David Kassan, 33, each painting of life models is drawn directly onto the iPad screen using his fingers.

Disney To Tap Into Apple iPad/Touch Market

The worlds largest media company Disney has acquired one of the top music related video game developers Tapulous Inc. to expand Disney’s hand-held mobile media business.
      The Disney companies largest shareholder is Apple CEO Steve Jobs who also sits on Disney’s board of directors, so it’s only fitting that Disney would start it’s expansion into the lucrative apps marketplace.

Apple in talks to bring iPhone 4, iPad with localized content to China

A Chinese PC maker is in talks to distribute the iPad in China with localized content, while Apple’s existing wireless carrier partner hopes to carry both the iPad and iPhone 4 in the near future.
      Taiwanese industry publication DigiTimes reported Thursday that Fang Zhongua, vice president of Founder, a China-based PC maker, confirmed that his company is in negotiations with Apple to distribute the iPad.

First iPad Class Action Lawsuit Underway

A San Franciso law firm announced it will be handling the first class action lawsuit aimed at Apple and AT&T in response to the elimination of unlimited data plan for iPads with 3G connectivity.
      “The complaint alleges that Apple and AT&T should have known at the time they were promoting the availability of unlimited data plans, they were not going to keep that promise,” said Michael Sobol of the national plaintiffs’ law firm Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein.
