Google Buzz

I not sure when this exactly happened, but the web is alive with the buzz about Google Buzz. Fortunately, I listened to Leo Laporte discuss it on This Week In Google. (Part of the TWiT podcast system.) Leo warned that it is overwhelming if you have more than a few people in Gmail that you regularly talk to and it opens up your list of friends so all of them can see who you are corresponding with. (A real privacy issue for some.)

If you haven’t been on your Gmail account recently, like I haven’t, you will be offered the opportunity to join Buzz a new competitor for Twitter and Facebook, etc. Personally, I don’t need another social network. I spend to much time keeping up with family and high school classmates now, I don’t need to duplicate that.
