On August 5th, Mark Mason posted this article on his blog “Mason’s World”. In it, he points out that many people are not familiar with the features of iTunes. Mostly he is referring to the fact that those people think everything on in iTunes are for sale.
He quotes not only a friend, but also his mother.
He calls this a problem for Apple. I don’t know that Apple would see it that way.
Of course, Apple provides podcasts and university lessons as a means to get traffic to the store. They figure that if you show up you have a chance of actually purchasing something. Which is why they provide so many services in the physical store as well.
