More and more people are using Macs and PCs as video centers. Some are even connecting them to HD TV sets. Hulu has become a source for much of that video. Now they have announced Hulu Desktop clients so that it is possible to watch the shows without using a browser.
Hulu Desktop features a sleek new look that’s optimized for use with standard Windows Media Center remote controls or Apple remote controls, allowing you to navigate Hulu’s entire library with just six buttons.
The application is keyboard and mouse-enabled. Hulu Desktop is a downloadable as a beta product.
Specifications are:
For Mac:
Minimum requirements: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz with at least 2.0 GB of RAM running Mac OS X v10.4 (Tiger) or later, with an Internet connection of at least 2 Mbps and needs Flash 9.0.124.
For Windows:
Minimum requirements: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz, with at least 2.0 GB of RAM, Windows XP or later with Internet connection of 2 Mbps and needs Flash 9.0.124.
I wonder how long before there is an iPhone remote for it. Or as far as that goes, there is an application to stream the videos to the iPhone.
