I have had a number of people complain about the fact that Time Machine does hourly backups. The issue is that they think that frequency is too often. Time Machine Editorl provides the user with a GUI to change settings for Time Machine.
As you can see from the screen shot, you can change Calendar Intervals including different schedule for Hourly, Daily, Weekly and Monthly backups.
Of course, once the settings have been changed you no longer need to run the Editor until you want to make another change.
