In a recent iMacChat list discussion, the question was asked about using an external drive and how it should be formated.
Randy Singer, author of a blog about using a Macintosh in the Legal profession, quotes another article as saying: “You should never assume that a drive is ready to go out of the box” from the Bombich forums.
