I believe that I first heard of this via one of the Leo Laporte podcasts. This is a device about the size of most cell phone AC adapters. It puts an external USB hard drive plugged into it on the Internet.
It is thus accessable via any Internet connected computer. It will even work with a thumb drive. It is an easy set up and enables the sharing of all kinds of files. It is even accessible via the iPhone.
I wonder what my cable company would think of it though.
