Microsoft has announced that Office for Mac 2008 is now available from MacTopia as a 30 day trial. I believe that it has had fewer upgrades from 2004 than expected, even if the sales to switchers are good.
The 2008 version has a lot going for it. Many new templates and compatiablity with Windows Office version 2007 being the top reasons.
However there is one major failing and that is the lack of support for VBA. While that really doesn’t affect a lot of users since most Mac people don’t do much of that, it does limit the corporate adoption of the new product.
The trial version could help change the mind of individual users.
