While the list of Mac software isn’t growing as fast as the one for the iPhone/iPod Touch, there still a lot of new applications out there each month. Here is a web site that attempts to keep a list. Its organization is quite different. You will need to take a look.
First of all the lists themselves are available in “Latest Additions”, “All Areas”, “Business”, “Finance”, “Organization”, “Readers”, “Text Editors”, “Word Processors”, “Writing Tools”, “Audio/Music”, and more via a drop down menu. For example, if you select the “Graphic” you get over 1600 applications listed on 81 pages. The header on the list provides “Name & Description”, “Kind”, “Bin”, “Src”, “Intel”, and “License”.
The Kind tells you if it is Cocoa or Carbon. Under the License column he estimates the cost of the program or tells you if it is Free, Trial, or GPL.
It appears that the heading for “Intel” means that it is available for Intel, but not necessarily universal. I assume that if that column is blank for a given item, it is only a PowerPC application.
The Game drop down has 2406 applications listed. Surely you can find a game there that you can enjoy.
There are currently 19,552 applications listed.

Note that his link page is very extensive and it will be a joy to check out what he has.
