WOW! an unbelievable resource for emulators. No matter what your platform.
The site says they have emulators for PC (DOS/Windows), PC (Linux), Mac OS, Other Computers (Amiga, Atari ST, BeOS, Commodore 128, Commodore 64 and Pision Portable Computers and more), Consoles (GameCube, Nintendo 64, NUON, Playstation (1,2 & 30, Sega Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, Wii, Xbox and Xbox360), and handhelds (Calculators, Digital Cameras, Digital Phones, Dingoo A-320, GAME-800, GameBoy Advance, Gizmondo, GP2X, MP3 Players, Nintendo DS, Palm OS and several more.)
The above are just a list of machines that the emulators will run on. For example, for the Macintosh, there are emulators for Consoles, Handhelds, other Computers, Arcades and others. Yes, there are even emulators for early Macs that run on Intel Macs.
There are 3 Apple, 15 Apple 2 and 2 Apple III emulators for the Mac.
It is really fascinating to see these lists. I know that when the Apple II was the big seller, there were emulators to allow Commodores to run Apple II software and let Apple II run Commodore. But usually they were slower and to expensive to use. Today’s machines are so powerful, I bet the software will run at native speeds.
The only thing I think is missing is emulators for the iPhone as I have heard that it is possible to run a Mac 128K emulator on it.
