10 Free File Management Applications for Mac

I love lists. You have probably figured that out by now. Some of these applications have been mentioned before on these pages, but they are good ones. And there are a few additions.

As the author says: “if you take advantage of these free Mac applications you will not only save time while you’re working but they will also give you the comfort to manage everything without giving you a hard time.”

1. AppCleaner, an uninstaller
2. AppFresh – keeps all applications, widgets, and plugins up to date.
3. Set Icon – Lets you quickly and easily set a custom icon for one your drives
4. NameChanger – Renames a list of file names.
5. SpotLook – GUI for Spotlight
6. Carbon Copy Cloner – Of course
7. Monolingual – Removes unnecessary language resources from Mac OS X.
8. Punakea – Designed to complement Spotlight and allows you to tag your files and bookmarks, freeing you of the strict hierarchy of the Finder’s folder structure.
9. SpotInside – Searches documents and shows previews of their content.
10. SketchBox – Works as your sticky notes manager and allows individual reminders for each sticky.

A lot of good files there, I hadn’t heard of the last three and SpotLook. I am looking forward to trying them out.
