Jobs and Apple Nutrition

Blogs are buzzing that Steve Jobs says he’s been afflicted by a hormone imbalance that has caused weight loss. Sources say he wrote to AppleFreaks saying …

“The remedy for this nutritional problem is relatively simple and straightforward, and I’ve already begun treatment. But, just like I didn’t lose this much weight and body mass in a week or a month, my doctors expect it will take me until late this Spring to regain it. I will continue as Apple’s CEO during my recovery.”

As a pancreatic cancer survivor this may be tough to beat.

Also buzzing :

A major problem to Apple is no one has been groomed to take his place … even if someone could. Even worse, the AppleFreaks, are unlikely to be friendly to a Jobs surrogate. Jobs IS Apple.

“I have given more than my all to Apple for the past 11 years now,” … “I hope the Apple community will support me in my recovery and know that I will always put what is best for Apple first”

With the Mac’s 25th anniversary looming, and all that storied history on everyone’s mind, Apple’s final Macworld would be incomplete without “One more thing… ” Schiller should cap off Apple’s last Macworld keynote with a swan-song product announcement worthy of Jobs’ trademark keynote ending phrase.
