In the Eastside Business newspaper, the Bellevue, Washington paper talks about Mac Ace, a local computer service firm recycling Macs. Something I would like to see MUGs do. My local group had a member who was providing classic Mac systems to a local grade school’s students. I was able to help him on occasion but my own family needs prevented me from taking over from him and continuing his work.
This article, entitled “Eastside Computer Services Expert Turns Bruised Apples into Beauties.”
It talks about Robing Ray updating the computers and donating them to the “Lost Youth of Sudan” and other charities.
Not only does he make the donation, but he delivers and sets up the computers so that they can immediately benefit from they. He was even able to get a donation from Apple for system software.
