There used to be several applications on the Mac that would download a site. I remember one that downloaded it as many links down as wanted. Many of those saved the files in Acrobat format. However SiteSucker copies the site’s web pages, images, backgrounds, movies and other files to your hard drive. Continue reading »

By now everyone who normally reads our news bits knows about Apple’s decision to not be a part of MacWorld Expo in 2010. This article by Peter Cohen of Macworld.com covers many of the challenges involved in Expo continuing into the future.

In the Eastside Business newspaper, the Bellevue, Washington paper talks about Mac Ace, a local computer service firm recycling Macs. Something I would like to see MUGs do. My local group had a member who was providing classic Mac systems to a local grade school’s students. I was able to help him on occasion but my own family needs prevented me from taking over from him and continuing his work. Continue reading »
