iEmulate is software that will allow a Mac user on a PowerPC as well as on an Intel Mac to run other operating sessions.
The web site describes the software this way:
iEmulator 1.7.9 is a high-performance PC emulator for PowerPC and Intel Macs running OS X 10.3.0 or later, including OS X 10.5, “Leopard”. It has been tested with Windows 95, NT 4.0, 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, Vista beta 2 and various flavors of Linux. iEmulator is a low-cost solution for Mac users that require the use of PC applications.
The iEmulator 1.7.9 is a Universal Binary Application. It also includes a DOS Operating System, including a boot disk for Windows 9X installation
It is best at running Windows 3.1 on PowerPC Macs, and any Windows up to XP on Intel Macs.
This is one more alternative to Parallels and Fusion, which only run on Intel. It is priced at $23.95, but doesn’t appear to have a trial version.
