Netbooks seem to be all the rage now if you listen to many of the non-Macintosh sites.
Apple of course has a different opinion. Here is an article at Engadget that indicates that RadioShack will be selling an Acer Aspire One for $99.99.
Of course, there is a catch. Basically it requires a 2 year contract with AT&T for its 3G network. The monthly fee is $60 a month, about the same as a tether for a regular notebook via a cell phone. A few of the comments are from RadioShack employee who confirm the deal. One of the commenters says that there is a 5 Gigabyte monthly cap. So that could be an issue.
