Every couple of days, my Finder search goes dead. I have no idea why, but I think it has something to do with iMovie. So I search for a file name I know exists on the drive, and the Finder can’t find it. I drag it out on the desktop, so now I’m looking at it — repeat the search, and Finder still cannot find it! I wish I could figure out how to fix it. Even if you’re not having problems with Spotlight and Finder Find, Houdah Software’s HoudahSpot is an acclaimed Spotlight front-end for Mac OS X Leopard — doing things even Spotlight can’t do! ampSoftware updated KeystrokeRecorder this week to automatically reload its settings. Since KeystrokeRecorder is a stealth application which runs in the background and meant not to be found, it previously had to be quit and relaunched to load the settings.
