For a long time now, I have admired Mariner’s software as a good alternative to Microsoft Office. Now they are working on a version of Mariner Calc for the iPhone that will not only display Excel spreadsheets, but will allow them to be edited on the iPhone.
Beta 1 has been released to the Ad Hoc Beta team and they are taking email address for letting people know when it is available.
They are saying we should expect these functions in the shipping product:
1. View native excel files
2. Edit native excel files
3. 1,000,000 by 32,000 row and column support
4. CocoaTouch native application
5. Support for multiple sheets
6. Chart and object support
