Livestation launches PPC Mac client

Livestation has introduced client software for PowerPC Macs and announced a new partnership with a German broadcaster for its online system.

For those who don't find US stations on their radio as enough, Livestation is providing several international stations via the net.

Last month, the company shipped an Intel Mac version of player. Livestation offers a live TV on internet service featuring shows from Al Jazeera (video), BBC World News, Bloomberg Television, EuroNews and much more.

They also announced it has signed-up German broadcaster, Deutsche Welle in order to offer its TV and radio content online.

As far as I could tell with my brief trial, only Al Jazeera is in video. The others are audio. But perhaps at times other than midnight, there could be more being "broadcast."

The application is also available for Windows XP and Vista. They also say that for now it is not available for Linux. So that must be on the way.
