An Ultimate List Of Quicklook Plugins
This article comes from Mac Tips and Tricks.
As you know, Mac OS X 10.5, Leopard comes with a feature called Quicklook which allows the user to see what is in a file without actually opening it in an application. The system comes with some useful plugins that allow you to see PDF, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and iWork files. I have already added one that allows me to see inside Stuffit archives.
This article however contains a list of several others. Some of which are more useful to the general user than others which are more useful for specific tasks. Of course, most plugins also work with Coverflow.
1) Brainsight - View files used in brain scans and the sort. It supports file formats which include dcm, mnc and img format. A very niche market and you may not need this plugin.
2) ColorXML Quicklook - Shows you the contents of xml files with indentations and syntax highlighting.
3) EPSQLPlugIn EPS Viewer - Gives you a quick look of any eps file.
4) Flash Video Viewer - Quicklook Flash files and videos.
5) Folder Viewer - View the contents of any folder, including all of the files.
6) HetimaClipping - For text clipping files (.textClipping) and picture clipping files (.pictClipping).

10) Textmate Integration - Enables intergration within Textmate.
11) Zip File Viewer - Look inside zip folders ands view its contents.
12) Apple Scripts - Dor programmers and coders. It again takes the code, this time Apple Script, and outputs it in tabbed and colour syntax.
13) C64 Images - View many file types not supported on the default system. These include Koala (.koa, MultiColor), Koala (.gg, compressed, MultiColor), Amica Paint (.ami, compressed, MultiColor), FLI Designer (.fli, MultiColor, FLI), Drazlace V1 (.drl, MultiColor, Interlaced), Fun Painter 2 (.fp2, un-&compressed, MultiColor, FLI, Interlaced), Hi-Eddi (.hed, Hires), Image System Hires (.ish, Hires), OCP Art Studio V2 (.ocp, Hires), AFLI-Editor (.afli, Hires, FLI).
14) CHM Files - View .chm files, also know as complied HTML files in Quicklook.
15) iContainers with Candy Bar - Offers the ability to look into iContainers.
16) Suspicious Packages - Preview standard Apple installer packager with out launching the installer.
17) JEF Files - For users of a Janome Embroidery Machines for patterns that come with a .jef extension.
18) QLColor Code - A Syntax highlighter but this version has support for Tcl, Lua, and JSP. Compare and contrast this plugin with the other ones mentioned.
19) QuarkXPress - Renders Quark files perfectly. Distributed by the Quark.
20) Shade 3D Scene - Render any Shade 3D scenes in Quicklook.
For some reason they don't mention the Stuffit plugin, which I can no longer find, but I believe also looks inside Zip files. However, BetterZip Quicklook Plugin also does Stuffit files and many other compression files can be found here. ($19.95 after 30 day trial.)
