MSN Music Tracks
On TidBITS, Glenn Fleishman has an article about how Microsoft has decided it isn't worth the effort to kill the music purchased on its MSN Music Store.
Of course, the Music store itself is gone. But Microsoft has announced it was to pull the plug on its authorization servers on August 31. Although, they were going to let any authorized computer to keep playing the music. That wouldn't have helped if there was a need to reformat the hard drive on the computer.
In light of the affect that lawsuits would have been started, MS has decided that it would be cheaper to keep the authorization servers running through 2011.
(Of course, Adam has authorized user groups to reprint articles from TidBITS from the very beginning.)
