One of the complaints about Apple menus in the Mac is that with multiple monitors the best you can do is change which monitor displays the menu. This causes a lot of mouse movement to select menus.
This article talks about an alternative solution called DeJaMenu. It is capable of displaying the contents of the Menubar in a drop-down list, but the only way to initiate it is through a keyboard shortcut.
