Washington Apple Pi

Washington Apple Pi Retiree’s Special Interest Group meeting, Rockville MD, on June 26 starts at 1 p.m.

This month Washington Apple PI has a two part program.

Len Adler demonstrates how two Macintosh computers can share data on home network during first half, and then the second half of program discusses tips presented during the Mac Masters Seminar last month. Len will demonstrate the settings needed to use for two Macs or more to see and communicate together.

He will also show how to use a thumb drive, a cable, or e-mail as alternate means of transferring data. Bring your laptop (or desktop) to join in the experience! You will learn which settings are involved, and how to set them in order to use the networking feature of Macs, primarily via wireless connection.

The Retiree SIG is a daytime group of home end users who share their computing skills and fun for mutual learning. Being retired is not mandatory. Parking is available, as is Metro and Ride On service to the door.

The Retiree SIG meets in the Washington Apple Pi office at 12022 Parklawn Drive, Rockville, MD. 20852.

To attend, see the Map to Washington Apple Pi.

Len Adler, a Mac user since the early ’90s, learned to network using the three
Macintoshes he has in his home.
