Apple Archives

Those of us who cut our computer teeth on Apple ][+ and //e computers, will find the Apple Archives web site interesting.

This site contains links to some of the best Apple ][ software from the 80s. This includes links to Beagle Bros, Take1, Computist (Hardcore magazine), Eamon, A.P.P.L.E., DigiSoft, Apple User Group Connection (WAC Inc, Applied Engineering, Aztec C Museum and the Apple /// Resource.

The site itself says that is copywrited 1979 to 2007 by A.P.P.L.E.

As many of you probably know, A.P.P.L.E. was actually an Apple User Group that operated as a Co-op.

Once you follow the links, you will be tremendously surprised at the depth of the material. For example, the Beagle Bros.

"The Beagle Bros Software Repository contains many of the applications and items of interest that made the Beagle Bros famous. Posters, Catalogs, Software, Manuals and other neat items are contained in this site. A visit to this site will light the fires of nostalgia of the Apple ][ era."

After clicking on that link, you get to the actual Beagle Bros Software Repository which includes a number of additional links including links to Nibble magazine. For us Mac users, that includes links to Nibble Mac.

Go to the AppleArchives and enjoy all this history and background by clicking here.
