Nisus Writer Pro 1.1 Released
Nisus Software has announced the release of Nisus Writer Pro 1.1. New features added include Comments, Mail Merge, Table of Contents, Indexing, Bookmarks, Widow and Orphan control, Cross References, Line Numbering, and Text Wrap around images.
These new features add to an already rich feature set that includes an easy-to-use interface, multilingual text support, easy to use style system, non-contiguous selection, full screen mode, and a native file format (RTF) that almost any word processor can read.
It has been awhile since I have looked at Nisus Writer, but I do remember it as a good alternative to the expensive option from Redmond. It is a 50 megabyte download.
One nice feature is the ability to click in the header to edit rather than having a need to go to a menu and select view header and footer. It does include the ability to have macros, but I haven't yet had the time to do much with them. They do not appear to have any relationship to Microsoft's VBA macros.

Nisus Writer Pro 1.1 is available now at our web store for only $79.00 USD, and $45.00 USD for the upgrade version. A three license Family Pack is also available for $99.00 USD.
