Little Snitch 2

Many applications call home on a regular basis. Do you know who they are? Little Snitch 2 can tell you when it happens and which ones are calling. Of course most of the connections are needed, but you should be aware of what is happening.

Once Little Snitch informs you a program attempts to establish an outgoing Internet connection. Then you can choose to allow or deny this connection and similar, future connections. Little Snitch runs in the background and it can also detect network related activity of viruses, trojans and other malware.

Little Snitch 2 introduces a new Network Monitor, showing detailed information of all incoming and outgoing network traffic.

With the evaluation License, Little Snitch has a free, built-in demo mode that provides the same protection and functionality as the full version. The limitation is that it will only run for three hours although, it can be restarted as often as you like.

It requires Mac OS X 10.4 and there is a $24.95 fee for a single license with multiple licenses available.
