Thrift Mac

I may have mentioned this site in the past. But I just came across it again and was reminded how user friendly it is. Of course, it talks about Mac Freeware.

A unique characteristic of this site is the fact that he lists other people's lists.

For instance, from Mac Membrane there is a list of 10 Freeware applications to immediately install on a fresh Mac.

Adium: for chat
Azureus: a bit torrent client
HandBrake: for ripping DVDs
iSquint: converts most video formats
Senuti: download music from your iPod back onto your computer
Flip4Mac and Perian: Two plugins for QuickTime
VLC: media player
Skype:
Miro: all-in-one torrent client and media player that lets you search for Creative Commons torrents
iStat Pro: A Dashboard widget for info about the current state of your MacDownload iStat Pro.
Firefox:

I can go along with most of those. I really haven't had much need for the video software, but I do use Miro occasionally.

For more lists and details on the above go here.
