Youth Tube
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram ran a story last Thursday with the above title.
It talks about 4 video web sites aimed at kids.
1. Kidvideos.com - a YouTube for kids. Parents have to approve account activation.
2. Yomod.com - for 14 and younger. Requires parents credit card.
3. Nick.com/turbonick - Requires parental approval for registration
4. Kidsbop.com - Free registration. Parents are contacted for approval and have their own user name and password.
Some of these sites have other features such as games and forums. But they all seem to be tightly controlled so that parents won't have to worry.
Unfortunately, the story isn't available on line.
If someone finds a link to this, please let me know. I felt that these sites should get a wider audience.
