DiskLibrary 1.7.3

DiskLibrary is a fun and easy to use media cataloging application for Mac OS X. DiskLibrary is indispensable if you have a lot of media to keep track of. DiskLibrary catalogs not just your complete file structure, it also creates thumbnails, and stores metadata, for most popular media formats.

DiskLibrary is capable of importing export formats from CDFinder, FileFinder, WhereIsIt and DiskTracker.

What’s new:
* [NEW] Added support for Spotlight (Finder) comments
* [NEW] Search within file path
* [NEW] Export XML files now include metadata
* [FIXED] Crash when starting DiskLibrary
* [FIXED] Some thumbnails were not created when the database was on a network drive
* [FIXED] Other minor issues

I found on a quick trial that it does very easily import iTunes music and my Miro video collections. Its Smart Catalog feature is much like the Apple’s Smart Folders or Playlists so that is easy to understand and setup. If you have lots of media needing to be cataloged then this will certainly help I wasn’t able to test with an external drive but the dialog boxes look appropriate for adding libraries from those drives.

System Requirements:
* Mac OS X 10.4.6 or later
* Universal Binary for PowerPC & Intel
