NEWEST APPLE TECHNOLOGY DEMONSTRATION

Apple's own Aaron Davis will deliver, discuss, and demonstrate Apple's newest technology introduced at January MacWorld convention at Luther Jackson Middle School, 3020 Gallows Road, Falls Church, VA, on January 26,2008 at 9:30 a.m.
In addition, time permitting; Aaron will demonstrate best features and user tips for last fall's software upgrades to Macintosh Operating System version 10.5, known as Leopard, and iLife 08 and iWork 08 software suites. Apple Pi's own Pat Fauquet, a frequent MacWorld attendee, will complement Aaron's report with her recap of the best of the new and upgraded third-party support products, software, and services.
MacWorld in San Francisco is America's annual convention for introducing new and upgraded Apple products. It also has large trade show of third party vendors showing their newest offerings, and how their products complement Apple's to improve your productivity or enhance your entertainment experience.
Pat Fauquet, Apple Pi's Vice President for Programs, in her enthusiasm for Mac World and this meeting said, "I just love sharing MacWorld's ambience, excitement, pictures and flavors, together with what I learned as I tried out many of the new products. I have a hard time keeping my meeting segment short as there are so many best-of-show third party vendor products to talk about each year." Her enthusiasm continued, "I love my Macintosh. I also love sharing methods to improve Macintosh productivity. Come join us on Jan 26 for all that is new in the Apple world!"
Meeting sponsor, Washington Apple Pi, Washington metro area's largest Apple user group, will raffle a single user copy of Leopard at the Jan 26 meeting's conclusion.
Meetings, open to the public, start with half hour Question and Answer session, club business, followed by Aaron Davis' featured presentation. Meeting concludes with raffle of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, adjourning about 12:30 p.m.
Members and guests are invited to join Apple Pi Leadership team for buy-your-own lunch at Chevy's, a nearby eatery.

Driving instructions from Capital Beltway, I-495: Take the Washington Beltway route 495 to US Route 50 west (Arlington Boulevard), exit 50. Make left turn near end of school property. Follow roadway around north end of school to parking near the tennis courts. Walk on sidewalk between tennis courts and building to entrance door 7. From Dunn-Loring Metro Station: Take Orange Line metro to Dunn-Loring station. It is located at Interstate 66 and Gallows Road. Board Fairfax Connector Bus 401, destination says "Franconia-Springfield Metro". Ride bus for about seven minutes to school (bus stop at Gallows Road and Gatehouse Roads. Walk around school to door 7. Fairfax Connector busses are on hourly schedule Alternately on nice day it takes about 15 minutes to walk South on Gallows Road from Dunn-Loring Metro station to the school.
