Fake memory cards

Nothing's worse than buying a gift which uses a memory card, but doesn't come with one -- except buying a card which turns out to be a fake! BEWARE

Many of you are either purchasing technology gizmos, or will receive one as a gift. Many of these devices, cameras, media players, digital picture frames, will require a memory card.

Be aware that there is a proliferation of fake and counterfeit memory cards sold online, particularly on eBay. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is.

Counterfeit cards may work but the write speed is often much slower than a genuine card. Though sellers claim otherwise, counterfeit cards usually do not have a valid warranty. read more from www.digicamhelp.com
