Leopard - Secret
As most of us know, Apple was able to open Word 2007 files on the Mac before Microsoft could do it. (Thanks to iWork '08). However in Leopard...
Once a Word 2007 file is on the Mac's hard drive, it will show up with a preview icon and Quick Look will view it. But to work with it, open it in TextEdit. Now isn't that cool?
And it can then be save in the older Word format.
Thanks to MacOS X Hints for the hint.
