Fredricks is organizing and serving as the moderator for the evening. The meeting will focus on ways to keep the information in an ACT! database up to date. Attendees log into the meeting site on the Internet and access a conference call to allow them to attend the meeting virtually as well as pose any questions or comments they have.

According to Fredricks, "I have been organizing the ACT! Users Group for the last 7 years. We focus on anything – and everything – that is ACT!-related. One of the big problems users have is making sure they have the correct information for each of their contacts."

"With a little tweaking Plaxo can be used for this purpose ," continued Fredricks. "I'm hoping that other users will share their experiences as well."

Fredricks has over 20 years of computer consulting and training experience, during which time she has acquired in-depth expertise in the operational requirements of a broad spectrum of businesses. Author of five ACT! For Dummies books, she is also the author of Outlook 2007 Business Contact Manager For Dummies, Outlook 2007 All-in-One For Dummies and Microsoft Office Live For Dummies. A nationally recognized authority on CRM software, Fredricks also holds certifications in ACT, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office products.

Tech Benders, which was established by Karen Fredricks, provides CRM consulting, customization and training. Its services include needs analysis to determine how to increase office efficiency as well as improving sales and marketing processes.
