15 years of CD Archives?
The voice on the phone was one I hadn't heard for nearly fifteen years. An old school buddy was calling to ask if I could retrieve the text and content from a directory I produced for our 25th high school reunion.
Oh no! How can I find those files?
I have used CDFinder for years -- since version 2 in fact. With dozens of CDs of client files and archives, dating back to the early 1990s, I can give you my personal endorsement that it works, and it's been an important software tool ever since CDs and DVDs became the back-up medium. .
The voice on the phone was one I hadn't heard for nearly fifteen years. An old school buddy was calling to ask if I could retrieve the text and content from a directory I produced for our 25th high school reunion.
Two questions nagged at my memory:
Could it really be time for our 40th?
Where in the world might those files be?
Fortunately, I have CDFinder... it quickly found the files from 1993, hidden away on a CD produced that year.
Unfortunately, the Ready-Set-Go file couldn't be opened in today's computer OS... but CDFinder located the files instantly, and the BBEdit resource text files opened and we were off and running. It's hard to believe I could get along without CDFinder...
