Low Prices This Holiday Season?

In an article entitled “Holiday TV pricing is key for retailers.” Business Week is saying that already the writing is on the wall for low prices this year. Wal-Mart has already announced price cuts of 10 to 50 percent on its “Top 12 Toys of Christmas.”

This sounds like a repeat of last year. However the manufacturers aren’t sending too many TV sets to the market like last year.

Best Buy last month said that it will face less pressure to discount flat-screen TVs and other products this holiday season because there is a more balanced supply from manufacturers. And some of its competitors have reduced their presence in the market.

Overall expected growth in the consumer electronics sales is expected to be less than half of last years.

I bet that these discounts won’t affect the Apple Stores much.
