Mark L. Pederson, Offhollywood **NOTE: 35mm film-out screening is scheduled to screen at this event (first print from RED to be publicly screened!)
A Special 35mm Film-out presentation of the 4K RED Digital Cinema Camera with Offhollywood’s Mark L. Pederson, is scheduled featuring some recent content shot with the camera (the first production model to ship). Mark L. Pederson is the co-founder of Gotham based, technology driven production and post production boutique Offhollywood, film producer, entrepreneur and consultant. An early adopter and innovator, currently drawing attention to being the “first to market” with the revolutionary 4K RED Digital Cinema Cameras and 4K post services, he is passionate about merging disruptive technologies and meta-data with the filmmaking process. Currently in pre-production on “The Asylum Seekers”, other recent Offhollywood feature film projects include the Latino-action film “Rockaway” and Josh Zeman’s docu-horror film “Cropsey”. Previous feature film projects include “Salvage”, “Destricted”, “Kettle of Fish”, “You Belong To Me”, “Bittersweet Place” and “Falling For Grace”. Mark is a frequent speaker at technology trade shows, conferences and events on technology in media.
ADOBE CS3 TO FINAL CUT STUDIO 2 WORKFLOW
Yan Shvalb, VizualFX, NYC developed his chops in the digital arts through commercial work, teaching and consulting. He studied art at Brooklyn College and took to it so readily he was teaching graduate-level courses in 3D animation, compositing and non-linear editing while still an undergrad. Through an internship at Sony he learned to do high-end 3D animation and compositing on Avid, Flame and SoftImage systems. Shvalb learned DVD authoring at Crush, one of the first such facilities in the country; there, he worked on titles for Criterion, pioneer of the now-standard “added features” on DVDs. Shvalb moved to Michigan to run a DVD authoring facility at General TV Network, then to Florida to serve as chief technical officer and CIO at Inflight Online, where he earned patents in air-to-ground communications technologies and “crazy stuff for in-flight entertainment.” In 2001 he returned to New York to start his own company, VizualFX. He currently offers custom training, contract video services, DVD authoring and consulting for workflow design and other production and post-production processes.
