24 hours of spam

Have you ever heard of anyone who actually wants you to send them your spam and junk mail? I know, it's crazy, but the folks at Knujon do indeed want all your spam. Why? So they can crush the criminals at the end of the money trail. You've heard me preach that everyone should have a SpamCop account. Well, now I'm emphasizing you should NOW also have a Knujon account.

Although we cannot figure out why the main-stream media and government hasn't recognized the true threat of spam -- we do know that
NOTE 90% of all email traffic is spam.
NOTE Employees in the U.S. spend about 100 annual hours on spam,
NOTE a daily loss of $130 million to our workforce.
NOTE Loss of productivity estimated at $712 Per Employee
NOTE $71 billion to all U.S. businesses annually

You can easily see that this problem is greater than most of the other insignificant news stories cluttering the pages of newspapers, radio and TV news brodcasts. Understanding the true threat posed by spam makes most of the other news stories seem trivial.

Why is Knujon's model different from the way you are hiding from spam now? Well, rather than putting your head in the sand, letting spam filters attempt to block the spam from your sight -- Knujon actually takes your spam and turns it against the spammer. Not the sender, mind you -- but the low-lifes who stand to profit from the spam. (99.9% of "sender" or "reply-to" addresses are either false or forged from innocent spam victims!)

Since March 1, 2005 KnujOn.com has shutdown over 40,000 (that's 40-thousand) junk mail sites. Their current count is somewhere around 45,281 with another 9,343 currently under investigation -- as you are reading this.

Go to : www.knujon.com/sendusspam.html to get all the information you need to configure your email client to automatically report spam. If you are not a paid, registered member of Knujon, then they still process, report and attempt to squash spammers -- but the report will not be credited to your account.

Mac users can actually install a small Applescript which parses your JUNK mail box to automate junk mail reporting to Knujon. SecondWheel has created a modified ThunderBird Extension for Knujon reporting. Thunderbird is a mozilla email client, and a fellow called SecondWheel offers tips for using Thunderbird at his site and on CastleCops.

Knujon wants your spam and junk mail.

Send it all to nonregistered@coldrain.net or knujon@coldrain.net (for non-registered submissions, please read terms of use).

All items sent to Knujon are also forwarded to the FTC (uce.gov). Registered users receive a custom address and weekly progress reports -- and the $27 per year is a small price to pay for the satisfaction you get from squashing spam! Couple this with a $27 SpamCop.net account, and you are double-squashing spam. And, as I've said many times, SpamCop is the best online email provider in the business, bar none. C'mon folks. For under 50-bucks a year you can help make a difference!

... And if you're not convinced yet...

976 pieces of spam = 40+ per hour

No, I don't hide from the problem. I'm not in denial that the spam filters or some unknown government agency will solve this problem for me. I don't use spam filters. I want it all. I report it all to both SpamCop and Knujon. In my own little way, I'm helping do something about the problem -- and believe me, each time I click the "send" button, I get a great feeling!

This is my upload to Knujon for today. (Yes, once you're a member, you can ZIP your Spam folder and send it all at one time. With this much spam, you can understand why I upload it as bulk. Today's file was over 4 megabytes.)

You are exactly right, Fred. Spam has taken over the internet. And now they are using Google AdSense links to 'hide' their redirects -- getting paid for the link, and any suckers they can drag in. Kill spammers. Kill them all!
